What stays on your computer

By default these live in ~/Movies/CreatorPilot on macOS and %USERPROFILE%\Videos\CreatorPilot on Windows. You can move that folder anywhere you like.

What we receive from you

Exactly two things, both at purchase time, both processed by Stripe:

We never see your card number. Stripe processes payment; we receive a Stripe customer ID and a session ID.

Telemetry

None. The app does not call home. There is no “anonymous usage statistics” toggle hidden in Preferences. We made this choice deliberately so we never have to argue about it.

Crash reports

If the app crashes, you'll see a dialog asking whether to send a crash report. It is opt-in, every time. The report contains a stack trace and the app version — no project content, no file names, no identifiers we can tie to you.

Updates

The app checks for new versions once on launch by hitting updates.getcreatorpilot.com. The check sends only your platform (mac / win) and the version you're on. You can disable update checks in Preferences.

Marketing

We don't have a newsletter. We don't have ads. We don't share your email with anyone, including a transactional-email vendor, beyond Stripe and the one provider we use to deliver license-key emails.

Kids

The app does not collect any information from your kid. No accounts, no profiles in the cloud, no “sign in with anything.” There is no chat, no comments, no social layer.

Your rights

If you bought a license and want us to delete the email tied to it, write to hello@getcreatorpilot.com. We'll do it within seven days and confirm in writing. Your license stays valid; we'll just no longer have a way to reach you.
