Terms of use
Plain-English version: you bought a piece of software. You can use it. Your kid keeps the rights to everything they make. Don't resell our app.
Your license
When you buy CreatorPilot, you receive a perpetual, non-transferable license to install and use the app on the number of devices your plan covers (one device for Single, up to five for Family). The license never expires. If we ever stop maintaining the app, we will publish a final build that runs without our license server.
What you can do
- Install and use the app at home, in a classroom, or anywhere else.
- Keep, sell, monetize, and publish the videos your kid creates with it. They are yours / your kid's.
- Move your license to a new computer if you replace one (deactivate the old install in Preferences first).
What you can't do
- Resell, sublicense, or share license keys.
- Decompile or reverse-engineer the binary, except where local law explicitly allows.
- Use the app to record people without their consent, where consent is required by law.
Updates and changes
We ship updates for free. We may change features, add features, or remove a feature that turned out to be a bad idea. If a removal materially reduces the value of the app for you, the refund policy applies.
Disclaimer
The software is provided “as is.” We've tested it on a lot of machines, but we can't predict every Mac and every Windows install. To the maximum extent allowed by law, our liability is capped at the amount you paid for the license.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, where our parent company is registered. If you live in the EU, UK, US, or Canada, your local consumer-protection rights still apply on top of these terms.
